| 1. What materials is your custom grips made of? We like to use Maple Wood for all our custom grips. It takes on stains beautifully. But we can make our designs with other type of wood. There is an additional cost and it depends on what type of wood and availability. But we prefer to use our Maple Wood 2. What color do you use and is there other colors available? The color we use on our custom grips is not just one stain. It is layers of deferent stains. This way we can achieve the unique color that we love to use for our custom grips. And Yes! We offer a wide variety of colors and finishes at an additional cost. The stains we use is from Minwax available just about every where. You can choose from their selection and let us know which one you would like us to use on your custom grips. NOTE: When using the same stain for different wood the color will show up differently from one wood to the other. 3. Will the finish chip off? Though we use 3 coats of stain that penetrates and seals wood. We also apply 2 coats of urethane that gives exceptional protection from sunlight, rain, moisture, and temperature changes. It is still a stain/urethane. As such, it is subject to dings and scratches due to rough conditions and handling. We do guarantee our finishes against adhesion problems but not against normal wear and tear. We can, however, for our customers touch up scratches that may occur on your grips over time for a low price. 4. Why are your custom grips more expensive than some? We are dedicated on making the best European custom design grips in the US market today. The materials, time, labor, and quality control required does reflect in the price of the custom grips. (NOTE: Our quality finishes take a couple of days because we have to wait for the stain to dry and then sand them. This process is done 3 times. Then we apply 2 coats of urethane and sand in between. Thats how we achieve quality custom finishes on all our grips.) 5. What method do you use to make your custom grips? We use the method commonly known as our hands. Seriously folks. This is what we use. Chop saw, band saw, scroll saw, 12" disc sander, 1" belt sander, oscillating spindle sander, drill press, Foredom with hand piece, lots of hand files and sand paper. Compared to companies who use methods like CNC automatic machines that are programmed to carve out their designs. I assure you we do not. We take pride in our work. 6. How much do your custom grips cost? Our price list sometimes gets complicated because we offer many options with each individual set of grips, there is no one price. For plain and competition grips we start with a base price which is basic grips. To that you add all of the different options you would like to have on your custom grips. Each option is priced separately. Add all the prices together to get your total price. We have a standard price for our completely finished custom grips. 7.
